Chemical Peels

The words "chemical" and "peel" are probably the main reason some people are afraid, possibly because they envision industrial-strength chemicals being used on their skin. The reality is that most chemical peels are derived from natural sources – glycolic acid from sugar cane, lactic acid from milk and salicylic acid from the bark of a willow tree.

Chemical peels have many benefits and can improve the appearance of the skin as well as create a smooth and radiant complexion.

This is a common misconception, but in fact, the opposite is true. While they remove dead layers of skin cells from the surface, the inflammatory response that this action creates, stimulates healing and the regeneration of new and healthier skin cells.

Having a peel once will have a visible effect on your skin’s appearance but for optimal results, we recommend a course of 4-6 treatments (once every 4 weeks) or as prescribed by your skin specialist.

It was concluded that the new generation AHAs are not only extremely well tolerated but also serve to significantly reduce fine line depth.

First of all, a distinction must be made between skin tolerability tests and effectiveness tests.
